International Refugee Day event - Tel Aviv 24.06.2011

On the 20th of June, the world celebrates international refugee day, and this year, the 60th anniversary of the signing of the UN Refugee Convention. This is our opportunity to commemorate the courage of asylum seekers across the globe and express the commitment of countries and their citizens to protect refugees, to defend human rights, and to struggle against violence, wars, and genocides that cause thousands of human beings to become refugees and asylum seekers.

Refugee Communities in Israel, the Refugee Rights Forum, and Human Rights and Aid Organizations invite you to join events in cinematheques around the country and the central event in Tel Aviv:
